Excellent peaceful stop mid-week to get out of traffic. A nice place to transition to yourself in nature's breeze, grass, trees, sand, and soft waves. Maybe meditate a little. The resting seagulls were like a mini island of white. A cheese burger food truck was consistently busy. 3 places to park. Park at the 2nd one if you like a walk. Follow the path down to the beach. The sand closer to the water seems cleaner, so it's a good place to be barefoot. There seem to be more trails around the beach. Returning up the slope is a trail for Dog Beach. Also, a nice large varied playground. There are lots of picnic tables and grills. Bring your charcoal, etc. Lots of grass. Someone was kite flying. Lovely views of the city. Enjoy.

Read moreI love places like these which offer a whole lot for locals as well as for tourists/sightseers like us.
We drove from Chicago, IL, had a stopover in OH for a night & will be moving to our destination Niagara Falls, NY.
Arriving here early morning was the best thing we did, for the weather was good, the park wasn't crowded & we got souvenirs photos including the elegance of the highrise buildings & lake Erie as an added charm.
The place appears to be very well maintained, having multiple parking lots, tranquil trails & restrooms on the spot.
The parking lot right across the street from the Script sign was mostly full but if you can find a parking spot there, you won't have to walk a lot.

Read moreGreat place to view a great city! These signs are awesome and the placement of this is fantastic! Parking very close to it so you shouldn't have much trouble getting a picture even if you suffer any health issues or have overactive pets or children! It can become busy but most people there tend to be respectful and get their pics and move on for the next group! I drove by with my nephew and he was ecstatic to stop and take a few pictures with the sign, and he doesn't get excited about too many things not viewed via screen. The Cleveland Metroparks have really been doing a great job since they've taken over. I definitely recommend a stop whether you're just visiting or a...
