3 Days Amazon Rainforest Experience

Day 1⃣️ 🔘 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Rainforest Hike Focused on seeing the giant Ceiba tree. Encountered insects and frogs along the way. 🔘 2:45 PM - 5:00 PM: Indigenous Village (Yuguas) Boat ride to the village offered chances to spot river dolphins (?). Village activities included traditional music/dance performances and blowgun demonstrations. Local handicrafts were sold at better prices than outside. Villagers let us hold their pet sloth — super adorable! Day 2⃣️ 🔘 Canopy Walkway (Additional tour: $150/person) First stop: Boat to Indiana town to explore local markets and observe daily life. Second stop: Took a tuk-tuk to Mazán Port, then a boat to Sucusari base. Began a 2-hour hike and canopy walk — stunning views but tons of mosquitoes. Bring wet wipes and repellent; reapply after sweating! Post-hike lunch at Sucusari base: Delicious fish and mashed potatoes. After lunch, a shaman introduced local plants and medicines, including the famous Ayahuasca brew. Day 3⃣️ 🔘 Monkey Island Short boat ride + 15-min walk to the rescue center. Volunteers explained each monkey’s social dynamics (friendships/rivalries). Short but fascinating experience! 🔘 Afternoon Fishing Don’t forget sunscreen! We caught 7-8 fish total — I contributed 0. Ate them for dinner (quite fishy!). #AmazonRainforest#Brazil#travel guide##TravelDiary##MonkeyIsland
