🌊 3 Days to Explore Acadia National Park 🏞️ A Must-Visit
We set off by car 🚗 from New Jersey to Acadia National Park 🏞️—here’s how we spent our trip! 📍 Day 1: The Perfect Mix of Mountains, Seas & Lobster ▪️ Thunder Hole: Always check the tide schedule first! When the tide is high, the waves crash against the rocks with an earth-shaking force—it’s absolutely (stunning) 🌊. ▪️ Sand Beach: A hidden beach nestled among granite rocks. The contrast of soft sand and rugged stone makes it a dream for photos—every shot turns out amazing 📸. ▪️ Lobster Feast: Head to Travelin Lobster and order their Lobster Feast (5 whole lobsters 🦞 served with butter and corn)—it’s a seafood lover’s paradise! The blueberry soda and blueberry pie were unexpected hits too—sweet, fresh, and totally delicious 😋. ⛰️ Day 2: Adventuring in the Rain! ▪️ Our original plan was to watch the sunrise 🌅 at Cadillac Mountain, but we had to cancel it because of rain… But here’s the silver lining: ▪️ Beehive Trail: We ended up hiking this trail, which requires scrambling with hands and feet—it’s so thrilling! If you hike it on a rainy day, definitely wear non-slip shoes 🥾 (I almost slipped a few times!). ▪️ The Bubble South: The view from the top took my breath away—you get a full panoramic view of Jordan Pond, and it’s so beautiful it made me want to cry 😍. If you have time, take the loop trail around the pond too! ▪️ In the evening, we drove to Portland to get ready for our lighthouse visit the next day. 🗼 Day 3: Lighthouses & a Quick Stop in Boston ▪️ Portland Head Light: A classic New England lighthouse. The wind by the sea is strong, but the scenery is worth it—great for photos. ▪️ We made a quick stop in Boston on our way back—it’s a laid-back city, perfect for a short stroll to unwind. 💡 Practical Tips ✅ Choose the right shoes for hiking in Acadia—Beehive Trail is not suitable for beginners. ✅ For great lobster, go to Travelin Lobster or Side Street Café. ✅ Rainy day backup plan: Have afternoon tea at Jordan Pond House—cozy and scenic, even when it’s wet. #USATravel #AcadiaNationalPark #Maine #HikingGuide #LobsterFeast #AcadiaGuide #Acadia
