3 Must-Try Restaurants in Palm Springs! 🏜️🍽️
1️⃣ Tac/Quila (Palm Springs DT) – A Michelin-recommended Mexican restaurant 🌮🌟 We ordered the Beer Tempura Avocado, Grilled Shrimp Tacos, Carne Asada Beef Tacos, Papaya Salad, and Calamari. Everything was delicious! The calamari had a light, crispy batter that highlighted the freshness of the squid. The beef taco was unanimously ranked the second-best dish of our trip – smoky, flavorful beef with a perfectly dry tortilla. The grilled shrimp taco was also tasty but slightly less impressive. The avocado tempura was creative and amazing with the dipping sauce – I devoured three! The papaya salad was refreshingly sweet with crispy apple chips. 2️⃣ Farm (Palm Springs DT) – A French brunch spot owned by the same owner as Tac/Quila 🥖🍐 We tried the Baked Brie and Canard Omelette. The Baked Brie was absolutely incredible – crispy yet soft baguette slices, special date jam, creamy and slightly sweet cheese, roasted pear slices, and whole hazelnuts. An unexpected combination that created a perfect flavor experience – our top-ranked dish! The duck omelette was just okay – a bit too gamey for our taste, and we weren’t fans of the tangy goat cheese. However, the roasted potatoes on the side were delicious! 😊 3️⃣ French Rotisserie Café (Palm Desert DT) – French cuisine 🍷🍮 We ordered two appetizers, two main courses, and two desserts. The chicken liver pâté with red wine jelly was interesting but too firm and strong for our taste. The escargots were decent, but I still prefer spicy stir-fried snails from night markets 😅. The Boeuf Bourguignon (red wine-braised beef) was tender and flavorful – my third-place dish! The Bouchées à la Reine Fruits de Mer (puff pastry seafood stew) was creamy and light – my friend loved it (her third-place dish), but it wasn’t my favorite. The profiteroles and crème brûlée were classic but a bit too sweet for me. #FrenchCuisine #ItalianFood #FoodDiary #HiddenGems #MexicanFood #NorthAmericanStudentEats
