4 Days Exploring Miami's Top 5 Spots by Public Transport

πŸ“ From November 20–23, 2024, I spent four amazing days exploring Miami! In my previous posts, I shared how to take the Tri Rail train from FLL Airport to MIA Airport for just $3.75 πŸš†, and how to get around Miami without renting a car β€” using only public transport. This post covers the Top 5 must-visit spots in Miami accessible by bus/train β€” save it for your future trip! ✨ 1️⃣ Miami Beach (South Beach) Crystal-clear turquoise water, soft white sand β€” sunshine and beach vibes come to life here! How to get there from MIA Airport? Take the 150 Airport Express bus (see my previous post for details πŸ‘‰ ‼️ Fun discovery: While strolling along the beach walkway, I spotted colorful lizards in the grass nearby 🦎 β€” felt like the GalΓ‘pagos Islands! A totally unexpected delight πŸ’― 2️⃣ Key West Yes, you can visit the Southernmost Point of the U.S. without a car! I’ll write a separate post about this later 3️⃣ Little Havana Take the 207 bus from Government Center station (Metrorail / MIA Mover / Trolley) straight to this vibrant Cuban neighborhood! The street is lined with bars, shops, and restaurants β€” live bands play in the afternoons, filling the air with Cuban rhythms πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ΊπŸŽΆ. Grab a Mojito and soak in the culture β€” it doesn’t get better than this! 4️⃣ Bayside Park A lovely waterfront park in downtown Miami with a giant Ferris wheel overlooking the skyline πŸŽ‘πŸŒ†. You can also take a boat tour ($25) to see hundreds of mansions on nearby islands πŸ›₯️🏝️, or simply stroll along the water and soak up the sun 5️⃣ Downtown Brickell Center / Design District Great for shopping lovers! Brickell Center offers plenty of stores, while the Design District is perfect for luxury brand browsing Fun fact: Pic 17 shows the famous downtown rooster that sometimes crows right at the Government Center bus stop πŸ“β£οΈ ‼️ Travel Tips If your hotel is downtown, you might not even need to buy bus tickets β€” the free Trolley and Mover can get you around easily and comfortably!
