Miami | Who’s Actually Recommending Versailles?
📍Versailles Restaurant Cuban Cuisine 3555 SW Eighth St, Miami, FL 33135 📍Versailles Bakery 3501 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135 To be honest, I found the hyped-up Versailles Restaurant just so-so (but the adjacent bakery deserves a rave review) 😐 We arrived at the restaurant around 5:50 PM, only to be told we’d have to wait an hour for a table. So we headed to the bakery right next to the restaurant first (address above⬆️). I don’t usually browse bakeries, but my friend dragged me in—and I was shocked by how crowded it was! The prices were surprisingly affordable, though, with most items costing just a few dollars. Unfortunately, we got there late, and many treats were already sold out 😢. Figuring “it’s cheap, can’t go wrong,” I blindly picked a few items. ⚠️ Note: Grab a number ticket before lining up to order! 🍪 Biscotti Guayaba (Guava Biscotti) – $1.85 Highly recommend this long biscuit 👍🏻👍🏻! Slightly sweet with a hint of bitterness, it was perfect for my taste. Regretted not buying more to munch on the go~ 🍰 San Marco Cake Slice – $3.25 This little yellow round cake looks plain, but it’s sweet without being cloying and melts in your mouth. Fell in love at first bite! Big fan of this cake 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 🍮 Flan Caramelo (Caramel Flan) – $3.50 I didn’t get to eat it… Saved it for the main meal, then forgot it in the hotel fridge 🥲. But I did lick a bit of liquid that leaked from its flipped packaging (is this TMI? Sorry, gross) and it tasted super sweet 🥸. My friend said “it’s okay”—not sure if she was just being polite. 🍫 Cake Chocolate Slice – $3.75 The photo’s blurry and unflattering, but it looks like a regular chocolate cake 👅. Moderate sweetness, delicious and not heavy. Recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 🍓 Tartaleta Frutas (Fruit Tart) – $3.85 My friend ordered this; no idea what it tastes like, but it looks decent. 🥤 Batido de Vainilla (Vanilla Milkshake) – $4.95 (No photo,) I got vanilla, my friend got strawberry—I think vanilla is better ✌️. First sip tasted like “overly sweet vanilla ice cream melted into liquid”; same with the strawberry. Overall, pretty average. The bakery is mostly locals, with a strong Spanish vibe—menu in Spanish, staff chatting in Spanish, and thick accents in English. I just took photos of what I wanted and showed them when ordering—worked like a charm! Compared to the main restaurant, this bakery is way better: good flavors, great value, worth a special trip 👍🏻 #MiamiEats #CubanDesserts #VersaillesReview #AffordableEats
