6-Day 5-Night New Mexico Foodie Travel Guide ✨

I was super excited for this trip to NM! Many restaurants were recommended by my coworker who lives in ABQ, plus I gathered lots of tips from Day 1 – ABQ 🏨 Hotel: Hyatt Uptown The first day was pretty chill. After landing and picking up the rental car, we headed to the hotel. Overall, the hotel was just okay—the outdoor pool was right next to the parking lot, so not very private. Later, we explored Uptown and had dinner at The High Noon (recommended by our manager). 🦐 This place is popular with great vibes and authentic NM flair! Highly recommend the shrimp enchiladas—super creamy and delicious! Afterwards, we grabbed taro ice cream at Neke Neke in Sawmill Market… but it was just okay, way too sweet for me. 🍦 Day 2 – ABQ We specifically came to ABQ for the Fourth of July fireworks! 🎆 🍊 Breakfast at the famous Frontier Restaurant right across from the University of New Mexico. It was packed even in the morning! Their orange juice was refreshing, but the breakfast burrito was just alright—a bit too cheesy and heavy for my taste. ☕ Then we went to Cutbow Coffee—my favorite coffee shop of the whole NM trip! Loved the décor. Found out later that the owner used to roast beans for Peet’s Coffee. The latte was amazing, and I brought a bag of beans home as a souvenir! 🌮 Lunch at El Paisa Taqueria, known as the best taco spot in ABQ. Cash only & super affordable! We tried tongue, pork belly, and chorizo tacos—each was delicious and very similar to what I had in Mexico City last year. Highly recommend! I was a little sad about missing the Pueblo Cultural Center, but we stumbled upon the ABQ Museum instead—and it was fantastic! The glass exhibition was especially dreamy. 💫 ☕ As coffee lovers, we had to check out another popular spot from —Black Bird Coffee. Hands down the most beautiful coffee shop in NM! The afternoon sunlight streaming through the flower-painted windows was pure romance. 😍💐 🍖 Dinner at the highly-recommended El Pinto, famous for its spicy ribs. The place is enormous—like a whole estate! The complimentary tortilla chips were tasty, but personally, the ribs were just okay… the spices weren’t as bold as I expected. More on Santa Fe + White Sands coming soon! 🌵🤍 #NewMexico #TravelNewMexico #ABQ #ABQFood #Albuquerque #AlbuquerqueEats #FoodieAdventure 🌮🌶️☕
