🌟 6 Days of Eating on Oahu — A Foodie's Diary! 😋
Here’s a full recap of everything I ate during my six-day trip — from iconic favorites to a few surprises! 🍽️ Island Vintage Cafe A well-deserved hype! We waited just 10 minutes by sitting at the bar next door. UBE BAGEL — absolutely incredible 🤤 Braised Beef Loco Moco — the only one I tried in Hawaii that wasn’t a patty! Crab Scramble — real crab meat, generous portion (though served with dry toast) Crab & Egg Brioche — like a fancy crab burger Iced Hojicha Latte — smooth and refreshing A bit pricey, but worth every bite! 🍢 Khan Skewer Restaurant A total win! Easy parking and not a single miss. Skewers, fried rice, crayfish, grilled oysters — all delicious They even gave us free lychee & peach shaved ice 🍑🍧 Shoutout to the super friendly and pretty waitress! 🐟 Maguro Spot & Musubi Cafe Maguro Spot — sadly overhyped 😕 Poke was just okay. Musubi Cafe — unagi & shrimp spam musubi were tasty! A quick, solid bite. 🛒 Foodland My go-to for affordable and delicious poke! Ate here 5 times in 6 days — that says it all. Go for 2 choices in the $13.99 or $19.99 tiers The whelk (sea snail) was a standout — my friend still dreams about it 🐚 🍡 Tori Ton Popular izakaya — we called same-day for 6 people. Limited orders per person on skewers 😒 Takoyaki was too doughy Sashimi > grilled fish Skewers were okay — sauceless ones were dry Small but tasty rice bowls: unagi > crab & scallop Yuzu Calpico Sour — refreshing and delicious! 🍜 Chong Qing Cuisine (Wu Wei) Perfect after a day in the water! Braised Beef Dry Noodles & Wonton Noodle with Pea Sprouts — both warm, flavorful, and satisfying 🌶️ My top pick when craving noodles! 🐖 Tonkatsu Tamafuji Worth the wait! A tonkatsu paradise. Iron Plate Pork Cutlet, Katsu Sando, Fried Meatballs, Fried Oysters — all amazing Mixed rice with asparagus — so fragrant Grind your own sesame for the sauce — a fun touch! Final Thoughts: Oahu is a food lover’s dream — from casual poke bowls to unforgettable tonkatsu. Already dreaming of my next trip! 🏝️ #HawaiianFood #OahuEats #WaikikiDining #FoodDiary
