6 Hours, 5 Spots, 9 Drinks in Salt Lake City 🍻✨

If I ever get the chance to go fully remote and live wherever, I’d spend one of the seasons in Salt Lake City. Plenty of sunshine, mountain views right outside your window β€” a city that’s both chill and bright. SLC is also super welcoming even if you don’t drive or aren’t comfortable behind the wheel β€” light rail, buses, and ride-shares are all easy. A dream for casual drinkers on the move! 🚌🍹 🌟 Koyote Dropped by on the way to the airport. Tucked in a residential area, low-key outside but modern inside. We skipped the ramen β€” my friend got the Sashimi Don (fresh except one aged silver-skinned fish that was strong), I tried the Loco Moco (Hawaiian burger rice β€” way too salty!). Whipped Tofu Dip with scallion pancake was delicious though β€” smooth sesame-tofu-garlic spread. 🌟 Publik Coffee Roasters Went straight for coffee in the afternoon β€” they roast their own beans. Espresso Tonic was refreshing, though the beans didn’t leave a strong impression. But sitting by the window gazing at the distant mountains made the whole afternoon feel well spent. 🌟 Bar Nohm Luckily snagged a reservation! Small plates perfect for solo dining. The menu changes often β€” missed the famous chicken skin, but the yakitori (chicken heart, pork belly, thigh, mushroom, beef) was tasty. Oden was warm and comforting β€” would hit even better in colder weather. The soft-boiled egg was perfect. Had three cocktails β€” all light and easy-drinking: 🍸 Guava Margarita β€” with chili, like a juicy guava dipped in chili powder. 🍍 The Owner β€” came with a tiny pineapple cake on the ice, sweet and creamy, great for after the meal. πŸ₯’ Ranch Manager β€” refreshing with a hint of smoke and cucumber freshness. Left super satisfied! 🌟 Scion Cider Bar Right around the corner from Bar Nohm β€” decided to keep the night going. A whole menu and a wall full of ciders! 23 taps that day β€” 8 house-made, mostly Utah apples with flavors like melon and lavender. Sampled 5 small pours β€” didn’t catch the names, but each had distinct character. Fun experience! 🌟 Proper Brewing Co. Same neighborhood β€” was pretty much done drinking, but couldn’t leave without trying Utah craft beer. Went for their Balkansko β€” a crisp, light lager β€” before heading to catch my flight. #SaltLakeCity #DrinkDiary #SLCExploration πŸ”οΈπŸ₯ƒπŸ“
