🚗 Day 4: Vatnajökull Glacier & Eastfjords 🌊 Morning: Kayaking in Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon—held icebergs and spotted seals swimming! 🏔️ Stokksnes Viking Beach & Vestrahorn Mountain: Paid entry but worth it for black sand + mountain reflections. 🛣️ Eastfjords Drive (3.5 hrs): Deep fjords and dramatic "hat clouds" over peaks. 🚗 Day 5: Volcanic Landscapes & Hot Springs 🌋 Hengifoss: Hiked to this red-black layered waterfall—waded through rocks to get close!♨️ Námaskarð/Hverir Geothermal Area: Bubbling mud pots and rainbow-colored sulfur fields. 💙 Krafla Viti Crater: Electric-blue lake (but bland surroundings).🛁 Mývatn Nature Baths: Soaked in milky-blue geothermal waters at sunset—bliss! 🚗 Days 6-7: Whale Watching & Northwest Fjords 🐋 Húsavík Whale Tour: Saw humpback whales up close from a speedboat (+ puffins!).🌈 Goðafoss "Waterfall of the Gods": A semi-circular cascade of icy blue water.🛣️ Tröllaskagi Peninsula Drive (4.5 hrs): Winding roads with fjord views. 🦭 Ytri-Tunga Seal Beach: Playful seals bobbing like puppies in the water!⛪ Búðakirkja Black Church: Skippable (many similar churches en route).🌆 Evening: Returned to Reykjavík. 🚗 Day 8: Reykjavík Relaxation ⛪ Hallgrímskirkja: Striking modern-basalt church (climb the tower!).🌈 Rainbow Street (Skólavörðustígur): Colorful shops and cafés. 🎶 Harpa Concert Hall: Glittering glass honeycomb facade.⚓ Sun Voyager Sculpture: Iconic steel "viking ship" by the sea #Whale Watching#Jökulsárlón# Húsavík#Húsavík Whale Museum# Harpa Concert Hall#travel guide#Iceland
