A £30 Per Person Hot Pot Feast in London😭

This time, my friends and I decided to dine at Pao Men Hotpot, an authentic Chongqing hotpot restaurant in Aldgate! We initially just wanted a regular hotpot meal, but as soon as we entered, the extensive menu blew our minds – there were so many dishes to choose from! We went for the mild and spicy combo pot. The spicy red oil base can be customized to your preferred level of spiciness, while the other half was a chicken soup base with cordyceps flowers, which added a rich flavor. As the spicy pot started bubbling, we couldn't resist adding beef, mutton, tripe, duck blood, and ox tongue. Among the vegetables, the pea tips were the star of the show – they were incredibly tender and crisp, with no tough stems at all. My friend was so impressed after just one bite! 📌 Must-try recommendations: ✅ Freshly sliced tender beef – incredibly tender and cooks in seconds. Dip it in the dry spice mix for an instant flavor explosion! ✅ Braised beef & duck feet – fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. They need minimal cooking and are super tasty! ✅ Beef tongue & tripe – chewy and bouncy. A quick dip in garlic and sesame oil after cooking makes them perfect! ✅ Pea tips – truly the best I've ever had. This hotpot place really nailed it with their pea tips! After such a satisfying hotpot meal, we had to finish with something sweet! We ordered a huge bowl of ice jelly, which was packed with toppings like fermented rice wine, hawthorn, canned fruit, and coconut jelly. It was the perfect sweet and refreshing way to cool down from the spiciness. We had wanted to try their fried rice, but we were already so full that we had to save it for next time... 💰 Super high value for money! Five of us ate until we could barely walk, and the total bill was only £200 – that's less than £40 per person. Considering London prices, this is really a steal! 📍 Pao Men Hotpot 🕒 Highly recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends – it gets super busy! #LondonFoodie #LondonHotpot #DiningOut #HotpotLovers #RestaurantRecommendation #UKLife
