A 3-Day Trip to Asheville, NC β The Artsy Mountain Town π¨
This trip was inspired by the annual Re Happening exhibition at Black Mountain College π. I ended up staying around a week, with about three full days dedicated to exploring Asheville. Though the city feels a bit quiet and leans toward an older demographic, itβs bursting with artistic charm and handmade craftsmanship β¨. Highlights & Recommendations: β¨β¨ The Omni Grove Park Inn β stunning architecture, beautiful craft shops, and amazing views! β¨β¨ Black Mountain College Museum β now also used as a boys' camp, but the location and scenery are breathtaking. Their annual April event is a must! β¨β¨ Downtown Asheville β packed with galleries and artisan shops. The whole city radiates creativity. Donβt miss the glassblowing studios β so beautiful! πͺ The River Arts District also has tons of galleries and unique spots β you can easily spend a whole day here. Food & Drinks: β Double Dβs Coffee β a cool bus-themed cafΓ©. Go for the vibe! π β¨β¨ Chai Pani β incredible Indian food! Surprisingly authentic and tasty. Highly recommend! π 12 Bones Smokehouse β super popular among locals, but the ribs were a bit tough for me. Personally prefer Bears Smokehouse β better BBQ and live music! πΆ π Red Ginger β tried the mouthwatering chicken, green beans, and hot & sour soup. The chicken was a bit sweet. Restaurants: β¨β¨ Plant β amazing vegan restaurant! Definitely recommend. β¨β¨ Curate β fantastic Spanish tapas! A must-visit. #NorthCarolina #NC #Asheville #AshevilleFood #ArtTown #TravelNC
