A 3-Day Trip to Asheville, NC β€” The Artsy Mountain Town 🎨

This trip was inspired by the annual Re Happening exhibition at Black Mountain College 🎭. I ended up staying around a week, with about three full days dedicated to exploring Asheville. Though the city feels a bit quiet and leans toward an older demographic, it’s bursting with artistic charm and handmade craftsmanship ✨. Highlights & Recommendations: ✨✨ The Omni Grove Park Inn – stunning architecture, beautiful craft shops, and amazing views! ✨✨ Black Mountain College Museum – now also used as a boys' camp, but the location and scenery are breathtaking. Their annual April event is a must! ✨✨ Downtown Asheville – packed with galleries and artisan shops. The whole city radiates creativity. Don’t miss the glassblowing studios β€” so beautiful! πŸͺž The River Arts District also has tons of galleries and unique spots β€” you can easily spend a whole day here. Food & Drinks: β˜• Double D’s Coffee – a cool bus-themed cafΓ©. Go for the vibe! 🚌 ✨✨ Chai Pani – incredible Indian food! Surprisingly authentic and tasty. Highly recommend! πŸ– 12 Bones Smokehouse – super popular among locals, but the ribs were a bit tough for me. Personally prefer Bears Smokehouse β€” better BBQ and live music! 🎢 🍜 Red Ginger – tried the mouthwatering chicken, green beans, and hot & sour soup. The chicken was a bit sweet. Restaurants: ✨✨ Plant – amazing vegan restaurant! Definitely recommend. ✨✨ Curate – fantastic Spanish tapas! A must-visit. #NorthCarolina #NC #Asheville #AshevilleFood #ArtTown #TravelNC
