A 4-Day Sun-Drenched Escape from NYC

Here's a recap of my trip from New York to Miami. If you're visiting the U.S. and dreaming of a beach getaway, Miami is a must-visit! The beaches are stunning, and outside of the main tourist hubs, it feels incredibly peaceful and uncrowded. ✈️ Getting There & Getting Around Flight: The flight from New York to Miami is quick and easy, taking about 4 hours. Car Rental: We rented a car right at the airport. Compared to prices in China, it's quite affordable—we paid less than $500 for 3 days. 🚗 🏨 Miami Accommodation: 1 Hotel South Beach Price: Around $1,000 per night (a splurge, but worth it for the experience). The Vibe: This place is stunning. Picture 1 shows the hotel entrance, which sets the tone for its chic, eco-luxe vibe. The Room: Our room was beautiful. Like many American hotels, it came equipped with a kitchen, which is super convenient. Rooftop: The rooftop is the real highlight! Picture 2 shows the pool area, and Picture 4 is the rooftop bar/restaurant. The views over the ocean and city are absolutely breathtaking. 🍹 The Beach: Pictures 5 and 6 capture the essence of Miami Beach—endless white sand and turquoise water. Miami is the perfect place to just chill and daydream by the sea. 🏖️ 🏝️ Day Trip to Key West The Drive: On day two, we drove to Key West. The journey along the Overseas Highway (U.S. Route 1) is an iconic American road trip experience. It takes about 3-4 hours, and the views of the ocean and bridges are incredible. 🌉 The Town: Key West is a small, quirky island town with a unique, laid-back "American vibe." It feels frozen in time. Accommodation: The hotels in Key West are mostly retro-style motels (like the ones you see in classic American movies). They are charming, historic, and very convenient. 🏨 Attractions: Everything is within walking distance. The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum is a must-visit. The grounds are beautiful, and the best part? It's filled with polydactyl (six-toed) cats that are descendants of Hemingway's own pets. They are everywhere and incredibly friendly and gentle. 🐱 🔁 Return to Miami & Departure Day 3: We drove back to Miami and stayed at a hotel near the airport for convenience. Day 4: We returned the rental car and flew back to New York. 💭 Final Thoughts This was my first time writing a travelogue, so it might be a bit all over the place, but the memories are crystal clear! 😅 Miami offers the perfect blend of luxury and relaxation, while Key West provides a dose of classic American charm and history. It's a fantastic short getaway that leaves you feeling refreshed and sun-kissed. ☀️ #US #Florida #Miami
