A 5-day, 4-night Maldives resort island getaway for just 5k(2)

Room selection tip: For sunrise-facing rooms, you get a wide-open view without any boats docked nearby, ensuring better privacy. 🌅 You can step right out for snorkeling. For sunset-facing rooms, you face the lagoon with brighter, Tiffany blue water, which is very pretty. 🌇 Avoid rooms too far from the restaurant; it’s a long, hot walk! 😓 One minor issue: You only get two bottles of mineral water per day, and extra bottles are charged additionally. Fortunately, we brought a few boxes of juice ourselves. 🥤 Transportation: My agent booked a one-way seaplane for me, which was very convenient. ✈️ To get to the island, we took a boat from the local island of Himandhoo, which cost $120 for the boat (split among four people, it’s $30 per person). For leaving the island, we took the hotel’s seaplane. I was worried about seaplane delays affecting our connecting flights, but it was surprisingly on time. I kind of regret buying travel insurance (just kidding). 😅 Food: We chose the HB (half-board) package, which includes breakfast and dinner in buffet style. 🥩 Before coming, I thought the food in the Maldives would be terrible, but Safari’s cuisine was actually quite good and diverse. Breakfast includes juice, and, like the rooms, bottled water at the restaurant is extra. The Maldives is 3 hours ahead of China, so we took advantage of the latest breakfast time, making it more like an early brunch. 🥪 We had dinner a bit earlier, and after eating, we’d get sleepy, take a walk to see the stars, then head back to the room to soak in the tub and sleep. 🛀 #Maldives #Asia
