A Century-Old Steakhouse | Keens Steakhouse
Once a Secret Gathering Spot for New York Actors 🌟 📍 Keens Steakhouse When my parents came to visit New York, how could we miss out on this historic century-old steakhouse! Keens has been open since 1905, and stepping inside feels like traveling back to old New York. We’ve been here a few times, and this time we ordered a table full of classics, all cooked to Medium perfection—definitely a safe bet! 🍖 🥩 Prime Porterhouse (Double-Cut T-Bone Steak) The undisputed star of the house! We’ve been here several times, and this dish truly stands out above the rest. One side is the tender filet, and the other is the juicy strip. I personally prefer the strip side—with its crispy exterior and tender, juicy interior. The cooking and texture are perfectly balanced. 🍖 🥩 Prime New York Sirloin (New York Strip Steak) It pales a bit in comparison to the Porterhouse. It’s not as tender, but it has a unique smoky flavor that fans of this style will appreciate. Give it a try if you like that kind of taste! 🍖 🥩 Our Legendary Mutton Chop (Signature Lamb Chop) We were blown away the last time we tried this with friends, but this time it was slightly cooler, and the lamb flavor was a bit stronger. However, the meat was still tender, and it came with the restaurant’s homemade sweet and sour jelly sauce, which added a floral note and was quite refreshing. 🍖 #NewYork 🌇🌟
