A Classic Hotel, Perfectly Presented 🌺

Everything was exactly as we hoped it would be! The Royal Hawaiian's Historic Wing is nearly 100 years old, yet it masterfully blends timeless elegance with modern comfort. Our room was on the top floor, offering ocean views, generous space, and that signature Marriott-perfect bed and bedding. 🛏️✨ While the intoxicating views of the beach and Diamond Head could have kept us captivated for hours, there was so much more to experience, so staying in the room wasn't the main point of visiting Waikiki! The beach is lively from dawn until after dark—I even noticed quite a few people taking moonlit strolls along the shore. 🌙 The adjacent Sheraton and the newer Royal Hawaiian Tower share the beachfront, but I didn't really notice any crowding. Even on the busiest days, there was plenty of space to relax. Yes, this hotel is "expensive," but I felt it was worth every penny. The service was impeccable. The concierge contacted us by email right after we booked, asking how they could help enhance our stay. From check-in to our final breakfast, everything was flawless. 🥂 One evening, we enjoyed the Hawaiian Luau and show. Even if you've been to a "real" luau before (I've been to one on Molokai from start to finish, even helping to bury the pig!), this one is worth attending. The food was good, but you're really there for the performance. Hawaiian history is presented in fast-paced, well-served snippets. Book when you arrive at the hotel—seating is limited. 🎭 (Note: the "free" drinks didn't seem to include alcohol, but they were tasty!). All of Waikiki is filled with tourists. If you're seeking understated privacy, you can find it at The Royal Hawaiian, but I'd recommend other parts of the island for true seclusion. Our five-night stay felt perfect. It wasn't my first time on the islands, but it was hers—and she's already convinced she'll be back. And I know I will be, too. 🤗 #RoyalHawaiian #HistoricHotel #LuxuryStay #Waikiki #HawaiianLuau #Beachfront #FiveStarService #AnniversaryTrip #AlohaSpirit #TravelClassic
