A College Student’s 3-Day, 2-Night Trip to Dubai for Just 800+ RMB ✈️

By chance, I discovered that flights from many Chinese cities (via Chengdu or Haikou) to Dubai cost just over 800 RMB one-way. The iconic Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, and Burj Khalifa—those legendary structures from movies—flashed through my mind. The exotic charm of the Middle East was irresistible, and since Dubai is visa-free, I impulsively booked my ticket! Here’s my whirlwind 3-day, 2-night adventure: Day 1: Arrival in Dubai 🛬 I flew from Guangzhou with a layover in Chengdu and landed at Dubai Airport in the evening. At immigration, they handed me a 24-hour free SIM card, but I’d recommend buying a 3-day SIM card in advance. After clearing customs, I got a Nol Silver Card (Dubai’s metro card), which covers most transport (except for the 1 AED cash-only abra boats—just ask a friendly local to exchange some change). Then, I took the metro straight to my hotel to check in. Day 2: Exploring Old Dubai & Palm Jumeirah 🏝️☕ After breakfast, I headed to the Gold Souk, then walked to the dock to take a traditional abra boat across the creek. On the other side, I strolled through Al Fahidi Historical District (Iranian Village), passing the Dubai Museum along the way. Inside the district, the famous Arabian-style Starbucks was a perfect spot to relax by the water with a coffee. The highlight? Lunch at Aura Skypool on the Palm Jumeirah! 🏊‍♂️✨ To get there, I took the Palm Monorail (separate ticket required) and stopped at Nakheel Mall. The infinity pool on the 50th floor offers a breathtaking 360° view of Dubai. I booked the 2-4 PM slot (via their website with a Visa card) and stayed until sunset—pure magic! 🌇 Afterward, I took the monorail back and visited Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. The fountain show (every 30 mins) in front of the world’s tallest tower was mesmerizing! 💦🌆 Day 3: Souks & Sailing Views 🛍️⛵ After checking out, I explored Madinat Jumeirah, a traditional Arabian marketplace near the Burj Al Arab. The Costa Coffee at the end has an outdoor seating area with a perfect view of the sail-shaped hotel—ideal for a lazy morning. After lunch, it was time to head to the airport. I used to think the Middle East was distant and unreachable, but stepping onto this land made me realize—the world is at my feet, waiting to be explored. 🌍✈️ #Dubai #DubaiTravel #WeekendGetaway #ExtremeTravel #MiddleEast 💫
