A Comprehensive Review of Pokhara Restaurants!!
Vegan Way ๐๐๐๐Located away from the noisiest areas by the lake, this place is very quiet. The view from the second floor is stunning, but there are many people smoking. The food is fresh, with a wide variety of dishes and generous portions. The sauces are particularly delicious. However, I deducted one star because they only accept cash. The Juicery Cafe ๐๐๐๐ The lakeside view from the window is fantastic; you can almost pretend you're on vacation in the South of France. They have live music every night, and Wednesday nights feature karaoke. After singing one song, I was pulled up by the house band to sing a few more. My personal favorites are the vegan burger and the Himalaya rice bowl. I tried the smoothie bowl out of curiosity, and while it wasn't bad, it just didn't feel like something I'd enjoy. The tofu salad had some seriously spicy green chili rings that even bread couldn't suppress the heat! I deducted one star because of the green chili rings and the abundance of flies, which made the spiciness almost unbearable. LITTLE WINDOWS Veg & Vegan Pokhara Restaurant ๐๐๐ I ordered the stir-fried tofu breakfast platter, which tasted good but was a bit salty. It came with crepes, but the portion wasn't very large. Maybe I was just too hungry... I deducted two stars because the environment was average, and there were quite a few flies and mosquitoes (I really care about this!). Jia Yan Chinese Restaurant ๐๐๐๐ As a solo diner, I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, which tasted just like what you'd find in a domestic Chinese restaurant! I deducted one star because they don't accept card payments, and the rice was of the mushy variety, even though the menu clearly stated "Chinese rice." Shan Cun Korean Restaurant ๐๐๐๐ I ordered seaweed rolls and Korean fried chicken. Each dish had a large portion and was served with six side dishes... The fried chicken had a crispy exterior (verified that it was still crispy the next day), coated in sweet and spicy Korean sauce, and included potato wedges, small green peppers, and eggs. I deducted one star because even the mild spiciness overwhelmed me (though it seems I should be the one getting points deducted). The Hills (in Sarangkot) ๐๐๐๐ The steamed momos were delicious ๐ The second-floor floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view. Welcome Restaurant ๐๐๐๐ This restaurant is very popular among Chinese tourists. I ordered a platter that included three different types of masala and some side dishes. You can refill to your heart's content, and the taste is great with good value for money. I deducted one star because the waiting time was too long. China Mongolian ๐๐๐๐ I only tried the sweet and spicy fried chicken momos, which were highly recommended by netizens. The crispy exterior is really delicious, a must-try for those who love sweet and sour dishes ๐ The dish is called Chilly Fry Momo. I deducted one star because the restaurant's environment was average. #Pokhara #NepalTravel #PokharaFood
