A curated list of Newport’s must-try eats

🦞 Lobster Roll: Newport Lobster Shack This is more than just a lobster roll spot—it’s a seafood shack where you can get the freshest ingredients cooked to order! 🐟 Price: Marked as “MP” (market price), but lately it’s been around $31–$35 per lobster roll. What makes it great: The bun is lightly toasted, and the sauce is subtle—not too heavy. This lets the sweet, tender lobster meat take center stage, so you taste nothing but pure ocean freshness 😋. 🐟 The Red Parrot Stick to the seafood here—you can’t go wrong with their Lobster Mahi or any of their fish dishes! They’re cooked perfectly and full of flavor 🎣. Skip these: The nachos and oysters are misses. The nachos are greasy and overly salty, while the oysters are tiny—smaller than a fingernail! ❌ 🍖 The Smoke House Speed is a plus here—food comes out really fast! But there are a few things to note: Brisket: Way too salty for our taste 😟. Chicken: A better pick—it’s more flavorful and not over-salted. Heads-up: We went around 4 PM, and the corn bread was already sold out (total bummer—we were so sad! 😢). 🥞 Brunch: Corner Café We loved this spot so much, we went three times in four mornings! Pros: Portions are huge, and every dish is delicious—total brunch goals 🥓. Cons: The outdoor seating gets super sunny (bring sunscreen!), and the coffee is way too sweet for anyone who likes it mild 🙀. ☕ Coffee Spots The Nitro Bar: Their coffee is amazing—we can’t say enough good things about it! ☕✨ Empire Coffee: Stick to their light meals (they’re great!), but the coffee is just so-so. Nothing to write home about 🙀. #NorthAmerica #FoodieFinds #RhodeIsland #RhodeIslandEats
