A Day Isn't Enough at the Zurich Art Gallery 🖼️
Switzerland is not only known for its lakes and mountains but also for its rich cultural tourism. During this rushed visit, I managed to check out two museums, and the Zurich Art Gallery | KUNSTHAUS, with its vast collection, is highly recommended! 💡 Open on Sundays! It's best to plan your visit for a Sunday. Children under 14 are free 🆓. 💡 The museum is divided into a new wing and an old wing, both very stylish. The old wing is accessible through an underground passage. If you're short on time, just visit the new wing. The walls display the names of donors, showcasing a sense of old money grandeur. 💡 The collection is displayed in the order of collectors (by era), with a unique layout. It's quiet, allowing for an immersive appreciation of the artworks. You can rent an audio guide, and each painting comes with its own description. 🌟 The world-famous painting series includes works by Van Gogh, Monet, Gauguin, Picasso, Joan Miró, Chagall, and Georges Seurat; see these masterpieces up close! There's also a special exhibition on Pop Art by Kiki Kogelink. 🌟 Renoir's "Little Irene" / "Portrait of Mademoiselle Claudine" is the most eye-catching original painting. There seems to be a domestic TV drama adapted from it. 🌟 The outdoor garden is also very pleasant, perfect for sitting and watching the clouds roll by, you could daydream away an entire afternoon! 🌟 The official website states: The Zurich Art Gallery is one of the most important art collections in Switzerland. Here, you'll find one of the largest collections of Munch, as well as the most extensive collection of works by Alberto Giacometti. In addition to outstanding works by Picasso, Monet, and Chagall, you'll also find works by Warhol, Rothko, Twombly, and Beuys. #ExhibitionDiary #ArtMuseum #ZurichArtGallery #ZurichMuseum #Switzerland #VanGogh #Monet #PopArt #MuseumHopping #Kunsthaus #PortraitOfMademoiselleCendavis #Renoir #LittleIrene
