A Day of Extreme Hiking to Seebensee with Dogs Near Munich π²π
The weather was incredibly kind on my birthday as my good friend and I took our dog for an extreme one-day hiking challenge to Seebensee. π Date: 24th August 2024 π π‘ Temperature in Ehrwald: 13-26 degrees Celsius π How to Get to Seebensee? With a 49β¬ German Rail Pass, you can reach Ehrwald Zugspitzbahn Railway Station. Then, it's just a 2.9β¬ bus ride to the Ehrwalder Almbahn, where you start the cable car ride. If you're feeling energetic, you could also hike up from the cable car starting point! β° Suggested Departure Time The early bird catches the worm; the 6:32 AM train is the best choice. The 7:13 AM train involves a tight 3-minute transfer, and a moment's inattention could turn you into the "unlucky miss-the-train person." As for the 8:32 AM train, by the time you reach halfway up the mountain, it might be lunchtime, and for beginners with dogs, you might miss the last train home! π Do You Need to Carry a Passport? Based on our experience, we didn't encounter any passport checks. Seebensee is near the German-Austrian border, and passports are usually not required. However, to be on the safe side, it's recommended to carry one just in case. πΆ Does Your Dog Need a Ticket? They are super companions for hiking and generally don't need a ticket. But if you meet someone strict, you might need to get a child's ticket for them. π Essential Items to Bring Bring plenty of water, dry food, a sun hat, a cushion, disinfectant alcohol, and hiking poles. There are no restaurants at Seebensee, so self-sufficiency is key. Hiking poles can provide extra support on steep and slippery sections. #HikingWithDogs #MyHikingDiary #WeekendGetaway #OutdoorHiking #Seebensee #HikingRouteRecommendation #Munich #WhatToDoInMunich #EuropeanLife #NatureSceneryShareA Day of Extreme Hiking to Seebensee with Dogs Near Munich π²π ### name:Seebensee address:Seebensee Ehrwald type:place ###
