A Day Strolling in Tokyo: Setagaya Gotokuji🌟
Tokyo's Setagaya ward is a tranquil residential area. There are no towering skyscrapers here. On a weekend, you can spend the entire day wandering aimlessly around this area. Start your day at 10:00 a.m. by visiting Gohkuji Temple to see the Maneki-neko (beckoning cats), then head to Shimokitazawa for lunch and to explore the quaint shops. 🍔🛍️ Transportation: Take the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku to Gohkuji Station. Note that Gohkuji is a small station, and express trains do not stop there. 🚇 When you get off at Gohkuji Station, you'll be greeted by typical quiet, narrow streets. There are a few small shops near the station. As you walk towards Gohkuji Temple, you'll pass through a purely residential area with no shops. It's about a 10-minute walk to the temple. 🌳 Gohkuji is famous for its Maneki-neko, but the architecture and garden are also well worth spending time appreciating. You won't regret spending two hours here. ⏳ Around 12:00 p.m., head back to take the Odakyu Line to Shimokitazawa. Shimokitazawa is the liveliest spot in Setagaya, with a plethora of dining and coffee options. You can choose any place you like. If you're into vintage clothing and retro furniture, you can spend the entire afternoon here. Before you know it, the day will be over. 🌇 Finally, I've included a map of the Odakyu Line stations for your reference. 🗺️ #Tokyo 🌟
