A day trip with stops and sunbathing along the way.
On the way from Budapest🚗 to Vienna, I stopped for a day in Slovakia. Bratislava is so quiet and peaceful. Strolling through the Old Town while basking in the sun is really pleasant. 🌞 Not many attractions to visit, probably half a day to a full day is enough, and you can tick off another country. 📍 St. Elizabeth's Church (The Blue Church) A sky-blue and white church⛪️ that looks like it's straight out of a fairy tale. It's super beautiful and perfect for girly hearts❤️. It's usually open in the afternoon and evening, and there's no need to buy a ticket. 📍 Čumil (The Man at Work Statue) A small but popular statue of a sewer worker emerging from a manhole, with a cute, smiling face. 📷 Great for photos! 📍 Maximilian’s Fountain A landmark in the city center's main square. There are wandering🐦 birds, street musicians playing and painters🎨. It's super comfortable to sit by the street, enjoy an ice cream🍦, or have a cup of coffee☕️. The Old Town is nearby, with lots of souvenir shops along the streets. 📍 Bratislava Castle It only takes a few minutes to climb up to the castle and enjoy views of the UFO Bridge and the Danube River. There's a lawn and garden behind the castle. The castle houses a museum, which is worth visiting if you have time. 📍 Bratislavský Meštiansky Pivovar (A Century-Old Restaurant) After a whole day of sightseeing, I was shocked when I entered the courtyard of this restaurant. It felt like the entire city's population was there. The restaurant is huge, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's packed with locals. I highly recommend the ribs and beef tongue. The beer🍺 and drinks🍹 are also great. The average cost per person is €20, and the prices are very reasonable. #Europe #EuropeanTravel #StudyAbroad #StudyingInEurope #EuropeanStudy #Slovakia #ImmigratingToSlovakia
