A DC Restaurant Worth Revisiting đ
I canât believe this seasonâs menu features Alba white truffle! At just $54 for a white truffle pasta, the price is absolutely stunning. The aroma hits you immediately, and the portion is way bigger than expected. It completely outshines the overpriced, barely fragrant white truffle I had at Imperfecto last year. đ 1789 is a standout in Georgetown and all of DC. After eating at many overhyped Michelin-starred places, I truly appreciate a restaurant like thisâreasonably priced with solid culinary skills. (Though itâs labeled as âNew American,â itâs essentially French cuisine at its core.) The lamb chops are always perfectly cookedâcrispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Even with a common ingredient like foie gras, they elevate it with French duck pâtĂŠ, spinach, and Italian honeyed apricots. The desserts and drinks are impeccableâeven the non-alcoholic The Dancer and Chamomile Sour are delightful.đ˝ď¸ In short, DC is the place for Western cuisine, and this is definitely a spot Iâd bring friends and family to. The ambiance is gorgeous, with many guests dressed in suits and gowns. The first floor is bright and photogenicârequest a table here when booking! The second floor is more intimate but a bit dim. đ° $80-150+, depending on your order. #FoodieUniverse #WashingtonDC #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGem #VibeyDining #DMV #DMVfood #DCfoodie #WinterTravelBucketList #DateNightSpot
