A Delicious Breakfast (4.2/5) 🍳☕

My New York friend wanted me to experience a classic American breakfast at a typical American café/brasserie (and no, not the kind you usually get at hotel breakfasts!). So she chose Smith Restaurant located at 956 2nd Avenue in Midtown East. Our server, Rosie, was incredibly warm and welcoming 🥰. We ordered orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, along with Benedict Johnny and buttermilk pancakes. (I have to say, I’m glad Americans have more than just alcohol for breakfast… though I’m familiar with buffet-style breakfasts or brunch with champagne 🥂.) Anyway, I’ve had my fair share of Eggs Benedict in my life, but somehow, this one stood out — it came with cornbread, savory sausage, and rich hollandaise sauce that flowed perfectly as I cut into the poached egg 🍳💛. The pancakes were also amazing — fluffy yet slightly crisp, served with decadent toffee caramel and pecan maple butter 🥞✨. Sometimes you don’t need an extravagant buffet, but you still want something hearty and deeply satisfying. We truly had a wonderful time! 😊 #NYCBreakfast #AmericanBrunch #SmithRestaurant #EggsBenedict #PancakeLove #FoodReview
