I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to follow up on a pending matter regarding the refund you kindly promised following our visit to your restaurant, The Smith, on December 31, 2024.
As I previously mentioned, during our dinner with a group of 12 people, a serious mistake occurred when an alcoholic beverage was mistakenly served to one of my minor children instead of the lemonade he had ordered. Following my complaint through the OpenTable platform, you responded promptly and, in a subsequent conversation on the same platform, generously offered a 100% refund for our dinner. You also stated that the refund would be processed within 72 hours.
To date, I have not received the refund or any further communication explaining the delay or the status of your commitment. Earlier today, I attempted to obtain an update on this matter without success, which prompts this email.
I greatly appreciate your previous attention to this issue and understand that unforeseen delays may occur. However, given the time that has passed and the nature of the commitment made, I kindly request that the refund be processed promptly. Additionally, I would appreciate written confirmation regarding the status of the refund to bring this matter to a satisfactory close.
I trust that you will address this matter expeditiously so that further action will not be necessary.
I look forward to your prompt response.
Best regards,
Arturo Quinonez.
Ps. You employee offered me a cal and a full refund and that did not happen.

Read more2nd Visit Review (September '21): We made online reservations for 4 adults and a toddler around noon and got a reservation easily for a Sunday afternoon, the day prior.
The place was relatively busy when we arrived but were seated within 5 minutes on our outdoors table. Their tables are tightly packed so getting in and out of the covid booths was very tight and their outdoor chairs are extremely uncomfortable.
Service was slightly slow and we saw 2 different servers take our orders. We ordered a few cocktails which weren't that great, although we did enjoy their beers on tap which included a Pilsner and a Kolsch. The menu overall was on the expensive side, and it definitely hurt to pay $16 for bite sized pieces of Burrata, and $17 for a very cheesy Mac + Cheese, and $21 for a Mediterranean salad, which however, was quite well dressed and tasty!
Overall, we did not have that a great experience, but just wanted to try out this place once.
Older Review: Met an old colleague for breakfast and we were seated right away at 8:30 am on a Fri morning. The place was fairly empty.
I ordered their Eggs any style ($16) from the breakfast menu and asked my eggs to be scrambled with pepper jack cheese. I got the chicken sausage and has an option for applewood smoked bacon. The chicken sausage was actually a chicken sausage pattie and was apple-wood flavored as well. Our order arrived quickly and the best thing about my plate were the baby mixed greens which were well seasoned.
My scrambled eggs came with a very thick, non-edible piece of onion which I alerted to the team to confirm if it indeed was edible or if it was a small piece of plastic? The staff member confirmed it was onion - but it was quite terrible.
Service was good, quick and the servers were very attentive and ensured constant coffee refills. Overall, a good experience, just on the expensive side...
Read moreCame here for a Saturday late summer brunch and was pleased as punch on all fronts. Just as you walk in, you're greeted with an almost speakeasy style type of decor with tiled floor and a grand looking bar, but they don't keep quite so serious. We did have a reservation, but I don't think we necessarily would have needed one for the three of us, the place is quite spacious and accommodating, even with some outdoor options. Starting with cocktails, as it was a boozy brunch, I had to try their signature and mysterious bloody Mary, which was quite tasty and certainly not like any other bloody Mary I've had before. This one was actually more refreshing! I'm usually a one and done when it comes to a BM, but I could have had a few of these, but I had a long day ahead of me. We followed that up with splitting an order of Mac and cheese, which was just as cheesy and delicious as I would have hoped. For the main course, I went with their eggs Ala vodka, a tasty twist on shakshuka that I will happily be adding into my own recipe arsenal. All of it paired with some delicious bread that made mopping up all the sauce and cheese all the better! Wait staff was also very friendly and quick to get to us and entertain all of our questions that we had about the menu. Price is a little on the higher side, especially with smaller portions than some places, but midtown Manhattan is rarely kind to a person's wallet, especially when it comes to a good meal. Brunch may have just been the beginning, but I certainly would love to come back here for more and certainly try more of their...
