A Five-Star Experience in the Heart of Waikīkī 🌟

It’s long overdue, but I finally want to share my thoughts on the Ritz-Carlton Waikīkī—one of the best hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. I’ve been fortunate to visit multiple times since my first stay in 2021, and that initial experience set an incredibly high standard. Back then, Sumin, a customer relations agent, reached out to me before my arrival and made sure every detail was perfect—from room preferences to special touches. It was service at its finest.💫 I typically book through AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR), which often includes a suite upgrade. Most of the time, the upgrades have been spectacular. However, during my most recent stay earlier this year, I was a bit disappointed. I had reserved a large room and was hoping for an upgrade to a spacious suite in the Ewa Tower, similar to what I’d enjoyed the year before. Instead, I was assigned a suite in the Diamond Head Tower with a rather unusual layout—overlooking a children’s pool under construction, without a full balcony 😔. The bedroom also had two twin beds instead of a king—not what I expected for a luxury suite. 🌺 Another shift I noticed: no one contacted me prior to my stay this time, so I had to reach out myself. Still, Debbie, the front office manager, stepped in kindly and arranged a welcome amenity to help celebrate my mom’s birthday 🎂💖. The service remained good—just not as seamless or personalized as before. It felt like many new staff were still in training, which impacted the usual Ritz-Carlton polish. Despite these hiccups, I’ll continue returning to the Ritz-Carlton Waikīkī. It’s still a stunning property in an ideal location 🏙️🌴.
