A French Duck Tasting Menu in Philly That Exceeded My Expectations 🦆

🏘️ Forsythia 💭 I absolutely love the decor here—French cottage-core meets fresh and chic. The dishes are far from traditional French clichés—creative, beautifully plated, and so inspiring I filmed my first-ever food vlog here (still editing though 😅). The space is spacious, so walk-ins are usually fine—no strict reservation needed! 🍽️ Tasting Menu The menu is compact, so we went straight for the tasting menu. They say it changes based on the chef’s mood—dishes can vary daily, even table to table! The starters were stunning—and portions were surprisingly generous. Five courses in total. 🥖 1. Focaccia with foie gras & beetroot sauce – buttery, creamy, divine. 🍖 Foie gras & pork terrine – sounded wild but tasted amazing. 🦆 Main: Signature Duck Not sure if it’s the same as the à la carte version, but the duck leg was incredibly tender with no gaminess. 🍨 Dessert Honestly the weakest part for me. Ginger crème brûlée wasn’t my thing, and the creative crêpe was overwhelmed by too much cream. Still, a beautifully executed and memorable meal overall! #FoodReview #RestaurantCheck #HiddenGem #FrenchCuisine #PhillyLife #PhillyFood #PhillyEats
