A Ghost Named Walter 👻🛏️
We stayed here for two nights in a king room – and what an interesting experience it turned out to be! The room itself was quite nice, though we didn’t even notice the mini-fridge until my husband stumbled upon it by accident! 😅 Our room was #203 upstairs. It didn’t have a balcony, but we met some fun neighbors across the hall who did – and we ended hanging out with them! 👋🍹 That said, the bathroom was pretty small. My husband is 6’4”, and let’s just say… he had to sit sideways on the toilet. Not exactly tall-person-friendly! 🚽📏 We also noticed a strong sulfur (like rotten eggs) smell from the drain when we ran water. Not the best, but manageable. The place definitely has that old, historic vibe – and yes, it felt energetic in a spooky-cool way! We wandered around, picked up some ghost stories, and honestly enjoyed the atmosphere. No real complaints there! 🕯️✨ The only letdown was the host, Abby. She really pushed this one Cajun ghost tour – insisted it was “the best.” Turns out, it was pretty mediocre 🥱 and not the “special discount” she promised. We paid the regular advertised price. (We’d been told she wouldn’t even be there!) Don’t get me wrong – she was super friendly… just be aware where your money’s going. Heads up: there’s a $30 facility fee, and they do charge it. For parking, you can Uber, or do what we did – park in a nearby garage. We paid $60 for 3 days vs. the hotel’s $47 per day. We’d still come back! Other staff like Leroy were awesome – he even let us peek into Room 208 when it was empty! 🗝️❤️ #HistoricStay #GhostAdventure #NewOrleansVibes #MixedReview #TallPeopleProblems #FriendlyButPushy #Room208 #WouldReturn
