A Good Stay & Great Value! 🏙️

We stayed on the 19th floor in a corner room facing the zoo—and the view was quite nice! From our room, we could see Diamond Head in the distance and a slice of the beach 🌅. The lanai (balcony) was a lovely feature, though it was often too windy to comfortably sit outside 🌬️. The room itself was pleasant and functional, complete with a small kitchenette—handy for preparing light meals 🍳🧺. The hotel offers complimentary beach chairs, but they’re available on a first-come, first-served basis. We managed to get some early in the week, but by Saturday, they were all gone by mid-morning 🏖️. The pool terrace wasn’t exactly as pictured—instead of artificial grass, it was a concrete patio that got quite hot under the sun ☀️. Only two umbrellas were available, and they weren’t opened, likely due to the strong winds. One minor hiccup: my husband didn’t realize the poolside bar required shirts for service. He didn’t see a sign, and though the staff gave him a stern look, they didn’t say anything. A bit awkward, considering it’s the only bar by the pool and… well, it’s a pool 🍹😅. We tried the hotel breakfast once. I ordered Eggs Benedict, but the eggs came out hard rather than poached—a bit of a letdown 🍳❌. That said, the price was right, and the location made it easy to walk everywhere 🚶‍♀️. We often picked up sandwiches, fruit, and drinks from a corner store and brought them to the beach for lunch—a simple and satisfying way to enjoy the day 🥪🍍.
