A great day at the beach!

A very nice beach located on Nāwiliwili Bay in Lihue, Kauai 🌊! There is a very nice boardwalk/promenade bordering a grassy area then on to the beautiful sandy beach 🌴—strolling along it feels so relaxing, with greenery on one side and soft sand on the other. There is some signage along the promenade that details particulars about the beach such as rescue tube locations 🛟, dangerous shore breaks ⚠️, typical rip current locations, as well as instructions on what to do if you get caught in a rip—super reassuring for visitors who want to stay safe! The beach is an ideal location for sun bathers ☀️, beach activities such as beach volleyball (there are nets set up 🏐), snorkelers 🤿, swimming 🏊 and surfing 🏄♂️. Water is very clear—you can even spot small fish when snorkeling! It’s also a popular spot because it’s right in front of the Royal Sonesta Resort 🏨. Restaurants and shopping are located nearby 🛍️🍴, so grabbing a bite or picking up souvenirs is super convenient. There is parking available 🅿️, and the beach is just a 10-minute walk from the cruise terminal 🚢—perfect for cruise passengers looking to spend a few hours ashore. Definitely a highlight for us 🥰!
