🌡 A Great Getaway Near LA: Palm Springs! Perfect for Family Trips!

During the kids' spring break, three families headed to Palm Springs for a desert adventure β€” and it was absolutely fantastic! Fun for the kids and relaxing for the parents. Here’s our easy-going travel guide πŸ‘‡ 🌡 Day 1: Indian Canyon We left LA in the morning and arrived at Indian Canyon's Andreas Trail in less than 2 hours. This place is perfect for hiking with kids! Right after getting out of the car, you’re by the stream β€” even if you don’t hike far, the kids can play in the water πŸ’¦. With plenty of spring rain, the creek was clear and flowing. We spent about 2 hours here before heading to our Joshua Tree Airbnb (50 mins away). We swam, soaked in the hot tub, and had hotpot! 🏑 The house was amazing β€” 3 beds, 3 baths (more in the next post!). 🌡 Day 2: Joshua Tree Leisurely Visit + Chilling at the Airbnb The Joshua Tree Visitor Center was just 10 minutes from our stay. We then went to the nearby Black Rock Canyon Trail πŸ†“ for photos and a quick taste of the desert scenery πŸŒ΅πŸ“Έ. After that, it was back to the Airbnb! We spent the afternoon swimming, soaking in the hot tub, grilling, and yes β€” more hotpot! πŸ– At night, we roasted marshmallows and stargazed β€” so chill and cozy! πŸ”₯✨ 🌡 Day 3: Old Town + Desert Zoo We left the Airbnb at 11 AM and drove 10 minutes to Pioneer Town! This old Western movie set is totally worth it β€” super photogenic! There’s a small farm at the entrance where kids can pet animals 🐐❀️. We had lunch in town β€” tasty Mexican fast food right by the entrance! In the afternoon, we drove an hour to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens! This zoo has a cool wild vibe β€” very natural and well-maintained. But beware: the desert heat is no joke 🌞❌. Not recommended above 30Β°C! Feeding the giraffes was a highlight πŸ¦’πŸ“Έ, though otherwise it’s similar to a typical zoo. βœ… Summary: This 3-day, 2-night trip was perfectly balanced β€” the kids had a blast, and the parents weren’t exhausted! Spring is a great time to explore Palm Springs with the family. πŸ‘‘ + ❀️ + ⭐️ Follow for more fun family spots and things to do in LA! #JustGo #LATravel #HiddenGemForKids #FamilyFriendly #PalmSprings #JoshuaTree #LAWeekend #LALife #CaliforniaTravel #FamilyTrip #SpringBreakWithKids #NatureWithKids #LosAngelesGetaway #FamilyTravel #ExploreLA
