A Great Local Mexican Restaurant 🌮🍹

The restaurant I originally planned to visit was closed, so I headed around the corner to Tia Maria's Kitchen — and what a happy accident! The space is large, airy, and welcoming. You could tell it’s a popular local spot just by the steady stream of takeout orders coming and going 🚶‍♀️📦. I started with a blueberry margarita recommended by our server, Darling — refreshing, fruity, and perfectly balanced 🍸💙. The menu was extensive, with lots of mix-and-match options, and Darling was super helpful in guiding me through it all. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos — and they were huge! The steak was well-seasoned, tender, and though slightly charred at the edges, it just added a nice smoky touch 🔥🌮. With that much flavorful meat inside, it was totally satisfying. The red onions and cilantro toppings were fresh and zesty, and the spicy salsa really brought everything to life. I also tried the guacamole and salsa — the guacamole was chunky and rich, just how I love it, and the salsa tasted incredibly fresh and bright 🥑🍅.
