A Great Spot for Strolling/Kid-Friendly Fun in Edmonton! ππ
Winter's approaching! We can't go skiing every day when it's snowing outside, right? So today, let me introduce you to our Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) to all the Little Red Bookers π ! π It's truly a fantastic place for indoor strolling and entertaining the kids! The Royal Alberta Museum (RAM for short) is located at the intersection of 104 Avenue and 97 Street, right in the heart of the city. It's super convenient to get there by car or subway. ππ€© Current exhibitions include the Human History Hall, Natural History Hall, Bug Gallery, and Children's Gallery. Sometimes, there are also different traveling exhibitions. We started our visit around noon and only managed to see the Human History Hall and Bug Gallery. ππ₯³ The Human History Hall starts with the indigenous people of Alberta, takes you through European colonization, the founding of Canada, and up to the recent decades. πIt's incredibly fascinating, describing various lifestyle habits and changes, how people hunted for survival, technological advancements, societal conflicts, and more. We took our time reading each explanation, and we spent nearly two hours there, but still didn't finish the modern section because we got hungry. If you're interested in learning more about Canadian history and its transformations, you'll definitely find this place intriguing. After a quick snack, we headed to the Bug Gallery, which someone (π) was really excited about. Well, if you're into that kind of thing, it's definitely worth a visit. Both kids and adults were engrossed in it. Personally, I found it interesting but not exactly my cup of tea. π€·π πUnfortunately, we didn't have time to visit the Natural History Hall, but luckily, we bought annual passes, so we can always go back and continue exploring. The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. πΈπ§ πΈπ§Regular hours are 10 AM to 4 PM, and it's open until 8 PM on Thursdays. Admission fees: 21foradults,35 for annual passes, and $10 for kids. #CapturingTheMoment #ThisTemplateHasSomethingSpecial #MuseumsWorthVisiting
