A Half-Day Tour of Bratislava

Worth a Whole Day! You Could Spend Half a Day Just at the Castle, Which Was Much More Enjoyable Than Expected, and I Also Had Delicious Ribs, Better Than What I Had in Vienna. 📅 **Itinerary** - 9/23 14:25 🇧🇬 Sofia (Bulgaria) ✈️ Bratislava 14:55 - 9/23 20:20 🇸🇰 Bratislava Flixbus Vienna (Austria) 21:25 (Departure point: Most SNP, located in the city center)😻😻😻 🚌 **Transportation** - **Airport to City Center**: Bought tickets on the app “IDS BK.” For traveling to the city center, a 3-zone ticket for €1.41 was sufficient (surprisingly, the ticket machine only accepted coins). - **In the City**: Mostly on foot.😁😁😁 ⛪️ **Sights (Locations are Distributed as Follows)** - **The Blue Church**: The color of the Blue Church is stunning. We arrived around 17:30 and were able to go inside. The interior is very refreshing. - **Čumil (Man at Work)**: The sewer worker statue is a fun spot. - **Michael’s Gate**: A historic gateway worth seeing. - **Kava.Bar and Bird Bastion**: Two great spots for taking photos of the UFO Tower. - **Bratislava Castle**: There are many benches on the castle grounds where you can sit and enjoy the panoramic views of the city. It’s very relaxing. - **UFO Tower**: Didn’t go inside, just had a distant view. It wasn’t lit up at night, which was a bit disappointing. 🎁 **Souvenirs** - **Near Čumil**: There were plenty of souvenir shops. I had a hard time finding a flag fridge magnet but eventually got a “battle-damaged” one, which matched perfectly with the one I got in the Czech Republic (also in a battle-damaged style). I also bought a mirror fridge magnet of Bratislava Castle, which is very beautiful. 🥣 **Delicious Ribs Restaurant** - **Meštiansky pivovar**: This seems to be a century-old establishment. The food was amazing, and the ribs were much better than what I had in Vienna. #MyTravelDiary #Slovakia #Bratislava #BratislavaTravelGuide #UFO #BratislavaCastle
