๐ A Hidden Gem in NYCโs SoHo: Bungee Space โ Please Never Close!
After living in New York for years, I was finally introduced to this incredible little store near SoHo by a friend from Boston โ and from the moment I stepped inside, I was completely captivated! If you know what โzinesโ are, youโll absolutely fall in love with this place. Itโs not your typical bookstore โ instead, it's filled with independent art publications, self-published books, pamphlets, and journals created by artists, designers, and small presses. It feels like one of those unassuming shops in movies that turns out to be packed with hidden treasures. (Many items here even seem to be rare or out-of-print!)๐ The zines and booklets are wonderfully eclectic โ some are weird yet adorable picture books (I knew I had to buy one as soon as I saw it), some document unique photography projects, and others experiment wildly with printing and layout. Each piece feels collectible โ perfect to flip through occasionally or give as a truly unique gift.๐ More than just a bookstore, Bungee Space feels like a curated art space centered around image studies and visual culture. Itโs deeply niche, which is why Iโm sharing it here โ Iโd hate for such a special spot to go unnoticed. They even sell coffee and some clothing to help keep the lights on. Shops like this are exactly why I love New York, despite its chaos and grit.๐ P.S. Donโt miss the free photo booth at the entrance โ snap an instant picture, add a caption (some are wonderfully abstract!), and take home a little memory. ๐ Bungee Space 13 Stanton St, New York, NY 10002 #BungeeSpace #NYCbookstore #ZineCulture #IndependentPublishing #SoHoNYC #HiddenNYC #ArtBooks #NYCspots #VisualCulture #SupportSmallBusiness #NYCexplore #BookstoreLove #NYCarts
