We were looking for coffee—it got cold during our visit to the New Museum. (Faith Ringgold, go see it immediately!!) There are very few nearby acceptable spots (not Starbucks, with inside seating). We saw a pylon at the corner of Stanton and Bowery directing us east. Bungee Space is a LOVELY spot with TREMENDOUS coffee. It's loaded with stuff I want. I'll be back to look at allllll the stuff, and see what else they are about. I've lived in the East Village for 40+ years, and the space is refreshingly free of commercialization.
