A Hidden Gem Winery in Upstate NY 🥂 Hillick & Hobbs Estate

Hey everyone! I spent an amazing weekend hanging out with friends at this gorgeous spot—Hillick & Hobbs Estate. If you're into good wine and stunning views, you’ve got to check this place out! We decided to try their “New York Roots & A Global Story” tasting flight. For just $22 per person, you get five 1.5oz pours of wine. Such a great deal, right? 😊 The flight included three estate Rieslings (from 2021, 2022, and 2023): Tasting three vintages side-by-side was such a cool experience! You can really notice the differences between each year. In my opinion, all three had a refreshing acidity—perfect for summer or early fall. 🍃 And there were two red wines: A Pinot Noir from California and a Mencía from Spain. These were fun to try, especially if you find the Rieslings a bit too tart. A nice little twist! 🍷 ⚠️ Heads up: You might want to skip the Petite Pairing snack board. We thought it was pretty average—not especially tasty and didn’t really complement the wines. Not worth it, in our opinion. 🙈 But the scenery? Absolutely incredible! The outdoor lawn faces Seneca Lake directly, with wide, open, unobstructed views. On a beautiful day, there’s nothing better than sitting outside, feeling the breeze, sipping wine, chatting with friends, or just zoning out while admiring the lake. So relaxing!
