The winery has a great view. Unfortunately we had very bad experience, to be fair it was packed and there were only two employees there but overall the experience could have been better. Wines were hardly explained to us and nobody came back after the wine was dropped off at our table. When paying for our two tastings we were asked if we had a good time and we were honest and said no. We were then told maybe come back when it's not Memorial day weekend and when it's not so busy. We felt like we were being talked down to, like it was our fault for coming up on a holiday weeekend. We spent the entire Memorial day weekend, from Thursday to Monday in the finger lakes and this was by far the worst experience. We have been vacationing in the finger lakes for 11 years, we have a family vacation house 10 minutes from this winery on Seneca that 100's of people rent our every year and we probably won't be recommending this winery until we can maybe give them another visit. We have been to most every winery on Seneca and although we don't always like every wine we typically get good service, this was not that. I will say the Riesling was good and the Mencia, just not...
Read moreI wish we had more to say about our experience. We were looking forward to it but unfortunately they were closed! Looks like a cool spot and a great location. Hopefully we can get here next time we are in the area. Riesling are their specialty.
UPDATE: We stopped back and they were open. A very cool and clean vibe to match the impressive views of the lake below. The owner (California) has done a great job of mastering their Riesling. Hillick & Hobbs (last names of the owner parents) is limited to a single variety (at this time) across a couple vintages.
This is ideal if you would enjoy an estate dry Riesling. Perfect to relax and enjoy (we each bought a glass). Not the least expensive Riesling on the wine trail, but dare I say the best (or close to it) in the dry variety. Our server (who typically works the vineyard) Leslie was warm and personable. She was very knowledgeable and gave us some great insights, which further enhanced our experience. Indoor and outdoor seating options...

The winemaker has a lot of experience on the West Coast, and it definitely shows in the aesthetics of this location. Gorgeous wooden interior, and amazing views outdoors. Definitely gives a very classy vibe for a glass of wine.
Location specializes in rieslings, and they had 2 available for tastings, a 2019 and 2020. Both were amazing. Our hostess Deborah was very welcoming and friendly. Gave a lot of background of both the winery and wines.
Along with our tasting we also had a half board of local cheeses and fruits. Absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend adding this on when you visit.
I'm very excited to see how this location does. High recommendation to those who want a smaller, more intimate tasting of quality wines, with...
