A hidden oil painting world in reality just outside of London 🎨
Looking for a super healing spot near London? Painshill Park is definitely a treasure trove! Despite its name suggesting “pain,” it’s actually a dreamy place that feels like stepping into a beautiful oil painting. 🚗 The transportation is convenient. Take a train from London to Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon Station, and use the Map to find the closest station to you. Once you arrive, you can take a bus, hail a taxi, or if you enjoy walking, it’s about a 30-minute walk. 🚶♀️ Travel Tips: 🏞️ At the park entrance, pick up a map from the ticket office. There are two routes: a red line and a blue line. 🌳 Built in the 18th century, the park was a private garden created by a nobleman inspired by his travels around Europe. So, there are surprises at every turn. There are lawns, woods, lake views, a Chinese-style bridge, and a Gothic pavilion. The artificial cave is the most amazing part, with crystals manually applied over ten years – it’s stunning! The Gothic Temple is great for photos, so don’t miss it. And if you get hungry, there are places to eat inside the park. Opening hours are 10am - 5pm, with the last entry at 4pm. It’s 11 pounds for adults, and buying tickets online saves you 2 pounds compared to buying them on-site.
