A Huizhou House in Salem – Just Outside Boston 🏮
Just a 40-minute drive from Boston lies the historic — and hauntingly charming — town of Salem. Here’s how my day went: ☀️ First Stop: Revere Beach Even in winter, the sunlight over Revere Beach was beautiful… though the wind was chilly! 🌊🧣 🥣 Lunch at Seas the Day We stopped for Vietnamese food — their pho is a sure bet! 🍲 The beef pho and vermicelli bowls were delicious, though the fried calamari was just okay. Still, a warm and tasty break! 🧙♀️ Witch History in Salem Learning about Salem’s witch trials felt strangely familiar — it reminded me of ancient “witch hunt” stories from across cultures. It’s ironic how this dark history has now turned Salem into a pilgrimage site for witch culture. History repeats itself, in different forms… 🏛️ Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) A must-visit! Exploring a museum with a good friend is like reading a interactive 3D book together 📚✨. Don’t miss Yin Yu Tang — the preserved Huizhou-style house from China. Pro tip: You need to reserve a timed ticket in advance! A day full of reflection, good food, and beautiful sights — Salem is more than witches; it’s a place where history and culture meet. #Museum #History #Salem #WitchCity #RevereBeach #BostonDayTrip
