【Appetizer】 🐟 Tuna Tartar: The seasoning is savory with a hint of acidity. The tuna is fresh, soft, and elastic—truly a high-quality piece of tuna. Combined with the nori strips on top and the shredded onions underneath, the flavors are perfectly balanced when you take a bite. I'm not usually a fan of sour flavors—I can't even stand the sourness of Canadian strawberries—and I'm not particularly a tuna lover either. However, this dish has no fishy taste, and the acidity is just right. It's an incredibly perfect appetizer! 【Main Courses】 🍔 Katsu Bun Pork Cutlet Sandwich: I believe I got the name right. The pork cutlet is made from pork belly, with a perfect balance of fat and lean meat. It's neither too greasy nor too dry. The meat is cooked just right and is very tender. The bread is fried, and it shatters delightfully when you bite into it, which is a very unique experience. However, I think it could be a bit saltier. Maybe it's just because I have a heavier taste preference. 🐂 Miso Steak: I found it a bit odd—it didn't quite taste like ordinary beef. However, the accompanying onions were delicious, reminiscent of the flavors from home, similar to stir-fried onions with eggs. 【Dessert】 🍦 Miso Ice Cream: I ordered this purely out of curiosity to see how miso could be used in ice cream, and it ended up being the MVP of the meal! It's truly amazing. Unlike regular ice cream, which can be either too hard or too soft, this one has a semi-solid texture, somewhere between hard ice cream and gelato, similar to the texture of Japanese Royce truffle chocolate. The flavor combines the saltiness of sea salt with a hint of sweet, creamy taste, and it melts in your mouth. The crunchy rice sprinkled on top adds a great texture. Highly recommended! #Toronto #Canada #InternationalStudent #LifeInCanada #IzakayaDelights
