A Local Nonprofit Is Hosting A Four-Course Dinner Party In The San Francisco Ferry Building This Fall
This fall, a local nonprofit is hosting a fabulous, four-course dinner and gala with 30 popular San Francisco restaurant s in attendance. The feast is a fundraiser for the nonprofit Foodwise, which regularly hosts farmers’ markets and educational programs. The nonprofit aims to support and grow local communities through farmers’ markets that connect people with local farms and embrace fresh produce. The dinner, titled Foodwise Sunday Supper: A Farm to City Feast , will be held on October 19 at the Ferry Building. Guests can expect an opening reception to start the evening with hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to see chefs cooking. The main event is the four-course dinner, followed by the live auction with luxury packages such as a European vacation or private dinners. > “This is an annual event for us, always on our books,” Chef Lawrence Jossel of Nopa shared. “And it’s because it celebrates our future. [Kids] are our future, and food is our future, and you connect those two things, we’ve got a healthier community.” The event brings together many popular SF restaurants , including Nopa, b. Patisserie, Zuni Café, Nari & Kin Khao, Che Fico, and many more. The event also has several featured farms, including Blossom Bluff Orchards, Stemple Creek Ranch, Far West Fungi, and more. The charitable event is a fancy affair, with cocktail attire encouraged for the evening, and tickets start at $400 . If you can’t make it to the dinner party, we recommend checking out one of Foodwise’s popular farmers’ markets in the city.
