A Must-See Gem in Kelowna You Can't Miss... 💕
🍇 CedarCreek Estate Winery We booked dinner reservations online in advance, but nothing could prepare us for how much more breathtaking it was in person! 🌄 The View Perched on a hillside, the restaurant’s terrace stretches out over the landscape. Panoramic views: Rolling valleys in the distance, vineyards below, and Okanagan Lake glowing under the sunset. Cozy fire pits add a touch of magical serenity. 💖 The Ambiance The entire terrace feels like time has paused—where warm, intimate interiors meet nature’s grandeur. The sky outside the floor-to-ceiling windows shifts from golden to purple to fiery orange as dusk falls. Inside, soft pendant lighting invites you to slow down, savor the moment, and share stories over food. The tranquility here is almost tangible, stretching the experience into something timeless. 🍽️ Now, the Dinner 🥗 Starters We ordered the crispy squid and Italian Burrata. Skip the squid—overfried, with the batter completely separated from the meat. Also, awkwardly large bites for anyone with jaw issues! 🥩 Main Course We got a steak (off-menu)—delicious but took forever to arrive. By the time it came, my friend and I had covered everything from kindergarten memories to retirement plans. Wine Pairing: Road 13 Jackpot Malbec—bold and berry-rich. 🍮 Dessert The sticky toffee pudding was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Layers: Vanilla ice cream 🍨 + date-cake-like middle + butterscotch sauce. First bite: A chaotic, delightful mix of cold, sweet, salty, chewy, and creamy—like a flavor fireworks show in your mouth. By the end: "This is too rich… one more bite… okay, now I’m done… last bite…" (repeat). 🚗 Quick Weekend Escape We squeezed in three wineries in two nights, plus: Quail’s Gate brunch (super overrated!). Bright Jenny Coffee (great for light bites). Mission Hill tasting (a tourist must-do). A perfect weekend getaway from Vancouver’s rain ☔️ to Kelowna’s sunshine and scenery. #TravelDiaries #VancouverWeekend #KelownaWineries #HiddenGems #StudyAbroadLife
