A Must-Try Lobster Dish in Reykjavík 🦞

I recently discovered some photos from my trip to Iceland a month ago and realized I hadn't shared this experience yet. If you're in Reykjavík, you absolutely have to try the local lobster dish at Sjávargrillið. This restaurant is located near Rainbow Street and the iconic Hallgrímskirkja, making it incredibly convenient. 📍 Address: Skólavörðustígur 14, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland 💰 Average Cost per Person: Under 70 USD (we ordered quite a bit and still had leftovers) What We Ordered: Lobster Salad 🦞 We chose the lobster salad as a starter, but we heard the lobster tacos were very popular at this place. Since we ordered quite a few main dishes, we went for something lighter. The salad was fantastic—filled with plump lobster and scallop meat, cheese shavings, and fresh vegetables. It was incredibly refreshing. Pasta 🍝 The pasta here is always a safe bet. We ordered the penne, which was rich and flavorful. Even though I prefer thinner noodles, the taste was excellent and highly recommended. Beef Platter 🥩 I love my steaks medium-rare, and this dish did not disappoint. The platter included three types of beef: steak, beef brisket, and another type I can't quite remember. The steak was tender, the minced beef was heavily seasoned, and the third type was equally delicious. Cod 🐟 (I think it was cod, but I'm not entirely sure.) Seafood in Iceland is always a hit, and this fish dish was no exception. It came with some unique local sides (those golden orbs had a very interesting texture) and a rich sauce. Overall, it was very tasty. Cocktails 🍸 We ordered alcohol-free cocktails. My friend had one with pineapple and ginger, and I had a strawberry one. Both were very refreshing and helped cut through the richness of the meal. Pre-Dinner Bread 🥯 The bread and butter were absolutely delicious. It was a great start to the meal. Overall Experience: The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, but the service was a bit slow. The prices are on the higher side, but it's worth it, especially if you're dining with a group. Overall, it's a must-try place in Reykjavík. #Iceland #RestaurantReview #FoodieAdventures #IcelandicFood #Reykjavik #ReykjavikFood #FoodRecommendation
