When traveling to Copenhagen, you definitely shouldn’t miss this gem of an art gallery – the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek! The heart of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is a winter garden covered with a glass dome, filled with tropical plants, surrounded by fountains and sculptures, like a tranquil oasis. The gallery houses a wealth of sculptural art, as well as ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artifacts, along with some painting collections. (Feels like if you’ve seen the British Museum and the Louvre, these collections are like little brothers, but it’s still worth it just to appreciate the architecture) 🏛️ This art gallery was established by Carl Jacobsen, the founder of Carlsberg beer, and boasts precious sculptures from ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt, as well as masterpieces by Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, and others.
