A Must-Visit Steakhouse for Its Dry-Aged Beef
✨PORTERHOUSE RESTAURANT SAN MATEO ✨You probably won't be able to take any "Instagrammable" food photos here, but you'll definitely leave with a satisfying steak experience. I discovered this steakhouse by chance, thanks to a food blogger I follow. credit@aldentest x food ✨While traditional steaks can be made delicious with just salt, pepper, and some cooking skills, few places truly nail it. I don't have the extra fridge space at home for aging beef, so when I want to indulge in a perfectly aged steak, I head out to places like this. Once you try aged beef, you'll be hooked. I made a detour just to visit this place. There's a massive aging cabinet right by the entrance, and the owner is incredibly enthusiastic. ✨Let's talk about the steak: Porterhouse - Dry Aged In House. 30oz This is a textbook example of a perfect steak. It's what a steak should be, but unfortunately, many steakhouses fail to deliver. This one had: Precise medium-rare doneness ✨No over-the-top garnishes Irresistible aged flavor And, of course, delicious sauce When it comes to steakhouses, I'm very particular. If a steakhouse can't serve a decent steak, no matter how amazing the side dishes are, I don't see the point of visiting. This place is a classic American steakhouse, and the other dishes are also good. However, arugula lovers might be a bit disappointed, as this restaurant seems to use a lot of arugula in their dishes. ✨The service is warm and attentive. Whenever I'm in the Bay Area, I'll definitely come back here. #BayAreaFood #SFO #Steak #SanFrancisco #SanFranciscoEats
