A Pumpkin Farm in the Forest
A Pumpkin Farm in the Forest | Guide to Activities for Older and Younger Kids 🎃 Every September and October, visiting a pumpkin farm is our little tradition 🍂. This year, we checked out Maan Farms—one that’s been on our list for ages, even though tickets are a bit pricey. Compared to other farms we’ve visited, this one has *such* an Instagram-worthy, forest-inspired setup. The pumpkin houses nestled in the woods exude cozy, magical vibes—every photo looks like a scene from a storybook 📖✨. With tons of activities for kids, you could easily spend a whole afternoon here. In my opinion, it’s totally worth the cost! ⏰ Event Dates: September 19 – November 3, 9 AM – 6 PM. Online reservations required for entry between 9 AM – 4 PM (no last-minute chaos! 📅). 📍 Address: 790 McKenzie Rd, Abbotsford 🎫 Ticket Prices: - Weekday all-access pass: $18 - Tuesdays: $15.65 (budget-friendly win! 💰) - Weekends: $23 - Holidays: $25 📷 Photo-Worthy Spots: - The large skull on the entrance roof (spooky-cute! 💀) - Front and side views of the forest pumpkin house (pure magic 🏡) - Oversized chairs (feel like a fairy! 🧚) - Heart-shaped house (so romantic ❤️) - Two giant skulls - Tractor displays (vintage charm 🚜) 🛝 Kid-Friendly Activities: - Children’s go-karts (tricycles—tiny speedsters, assemble! 🏎️) - Large slides (whooshing fun! 🛕) - Trampolines (bounce till you can’t! 🪀) - Swings (soaring high 🌬️) - Sand pits with toy excavators (future builders at work 👷) - Climbing frames (little monkeys rejoice 🐒) - Tire mountain (unique to this farm—super cool! 🛞) - Corn maze (adventure awaits 🧭) - Zipline (thrills for older kids! ⚡) - Pony rides (gentle cuties 🐴) Our 3-year-old loved almost all these activities—only skipped the zipline and go-karts (next year, for sure! 🤞). ❤️ The most popular attraction? The Jumping Pillow—an enormous trampoline loved by *both* kids and adults. Our friend’s 5-year-old played on it five times in a row and kept begging to go back—total hit! 🛌 🐑 Animal Feeding: The farm is home to sheep, chickens, alpacas, peacocks, donkeys, and more. The sheep near the entrance are total stars—super friendly! You can buy feed when purchasing tickets, so the kids can get up close and personal (squeals of joy guaranteed 🐑💕). 🌽 Corn Maze: A classic farm staple, but this one’s extra fun! It’s across the road next to the parking lot, and way more intricate than others we’ve tried. Some narrow paths are only wide enough for one person—adding an exciting sense of adventure (we may have gotten a *little* lost… oops! 😜). Perfect for a fall family day out—memories made, pumpkins admired, and kids worn out (win-win! 🥰). #GlobalFoodAndFunSquad#LifeInCanada#Halloween#CanadianLife#VancouverFoodAndFun#PumpkinFarm
