A Rainy Day in New York | June at Pace Gallery π§οΈ
Went to Chelsea on a rainy day. π§οΈ ππΈ I went there for Trevor Paglen's new exhibition. He used infrared telescopes to capture hundreds of unknown objects in Earth's orbit that are tracked by the U.S. military. It's mysterious and abstract, and it also questions psychological manipulation and disinformation. I really liked it. π ππΈ The sound installation on the 7th floor, "18 Verses" by Grada Kilomba, has a Berlin - style coolness. The chanting is also subversive, dealing with gender, trauma, and post - colonialism... "When history is not told properly, its barbarity will be repeated." I kept thinking about this sentence on my way home. π€ ππΈ -Pace Gallery 540 W 25th St, New York, NY 10001 #NewYork #NYCExhibitions #NewYorkLiving ππ
