A Refreshing 25°C Summer, All Along Vancouver’s Waterfront…
Location: Sunset Beach Park 🌞 These days, my social media feeds are filled with news about the weather back home—many cities in southern China have hit record highs, soaring above 40°C! Having lived abroad for over a decade and always returning home for Chinese New Year, the last time I experienced a scorching summer in China was back in 2010—now just a distant memory… 🌞 When it comes to Vancouver nowadays, the so-called advantages compared to major cities in China are becoming fewer and fewer, and there's certainly no sense of superiority. But if I had to point out one advantage, it would definitely be the summer: 🌞 And by summer, I mean the outdoor summer, not indoor summer. After all, most homes in Vancouver don’t have air conditioning, so if the temperature exceeds 28°C, it can still get pretty stuffy indoors. 🌞 Vancouver has issued a "heat warning" these days, but in reality, the outdoor temperature barely reaches 28-29°C. At the waterfront during sunset, the temperature drops to around 25°C, accompanied by a gentle sea breeze—truly refreshing and pleasant. 🌞 Such a cool summer is a common sight in Vancouver. The waterfront in summer is always the liveliest spot in this city, perfect for escaping the heat. 🌞 Whether you’re “lying flat” on the beach, sailing across the inner harbor, or hopping on a Water Taxi to explore different waterfront destinations, these are all great ways to “unlock the Vancouver summer.” 🌞 As the name Sunset Beach suggests, you can’t go wrong capturing the sunset here, and during a Vancouver summer, the sunsets rarely disappoint—rainy and cloudy days are few and far between. 🌞 #Summer #HeatWave #Vancouver #VancouverLife #VancouverSummer
